Bruce W. Doole

Mr. Doole began his career in the banking industry as an analyst and manager in 1989. Coinciding with his four years in the banking industry, Mr. Doole completed his MBA in just over a year. It was during this time he began developing his philosophy of investing, simply put "great companies and managers at a reasonable price."

After finishing his MBA, Mr. Doole concluded that he would best serve clients as an independent investment advisor (RIA). Before starting his own firm, he spent a year as a district manager for one of the nation’s largest financial services firms. During this time, Mr. Doole was enlisted to author several articles on business financing and business startups. In July of 1994, he founded the forerunner to Permanent Value, Inc. a registered investment advisor firm. He has developed several education courses for the company and currently serves as President and Chief Investment Officer for the firm where he develops investment criteria and oversees all investment decisions and financial strategies. Recently he also started the BSD Venture Capital Fund to invest in new medical technologies.

Mr. Doole has spoken at numerous educational workshops as an expert on investing and financial strategies, and has been quoted in the San Diego Union Tribune, Orange County Metro, and Investment News magazine. Mr. Doole is currently on the Board of Trustees of the Doole Family Charitable Foundation and Vice President and Board Member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of San Diego and Hawaii. He is also on the Site Governance Board for his son’s elementary school and has coached both his son’s baseball and soccer teams. Mr. Doole currently resides with his wife and son at their home in San Diego, near the firm’s headquarters.
